Welcome to my health journey

For a long time, my stomach has felt like something I had to work around instead of something I could actually understand. Living with IBS can be frustrating, confusing and honestly quite exhausting. This blog is my way of documenting the process of trying to feel better.

Hi there! My name is Markus, a 36-year-old man living in a small, cozy town in Sweden with my child, my fiancé, two dogs and two cats. Life is full, sometimes chaotic, often beautiful and like many people, I’m trying to figure out how to feel better in my own body while keeping up with everything else.

For a long time, my stomach has felt like something I had to work around instead of something I could actually understand. Living with IBS can be frustrating, confusing and honestly quite exhausting. Some days it feels manageable, other days it affects everything from my mood and energy to how social I feel and what plans I dare to make. I know that with the a better diet, excercise and sleep I no longer have to search for a toilet in panic when I'm out and about.

This blog is my way of documenting the process of trying to feel better.

I’ll be writing about gut health, food, exercise and the small daily habits that can make a big difference. My main focus will be my own journey with IBS and how I’m trying to improve it through diet, movement and a healthier lifestyle overall.

I’m not here to pretend I have all the answers. I’m not a doctor and this won’t be perfect advice from someone who has already figured everything out. It’s more of an honest diary of what I try, what helps, what doesn’t and what I learn along the way.

I want to understand how food affects my body, not just in terms of digestion but also energy, stress, sleep and general wellbeing. I want to find meals that feel good to eat and don’t leave me anxious about how my stomach will react. I want to build routines that support my health without making life feel restrictive or boring.

Hopefully, this blog can become a place for real experiences, gentle motivation and practical ideas. If you’re also dealing with IBS, stomach issues or just trying to feel better in your body, maybe you’ll find something here that makes you feel a little less alone.

This is the beginning of my journey toward a calmer stomach, a healthier lifestyle and hopefully a better relationship with food and my body.

Let’s see where it goes.
